How do we experience the world around us? Can we extend our sensory abilities using tools? Local Waves is a project where I explored these questions by building an sensor that converts radio waves into sound. The sensor opened up a new way to experience public space and invited me to explore and wonder around, guided by a new sort of sense.
To present my experience I created an installation where the sounds are being played by recordplayers and a visual representation of the findings tell about my experience extending my senses.
